Chinese Kebab

Jainism preaches ahimsa which means non-violence and harm to none. Keeping that in my mind I tried to create a jain version of kebab (which is a really popular food but hardly available as a vegetarian option let alone jain) so everyone of us can enjoy it without harming any animals.

This Jain Chinese Kebab is not only a mouth watering dish but also a clean eat as it has lots of vegetables and only a tiny bit of oil. Enough of me talking. I’ll leave you be to the recipe. Have fun making it. 🙂

Instructions
  1. Take a chopper or a food processor. Add cabbages, capsicums, chilli, celery leaves and sticks.
  2. When it's finely chopped, squeeze it to remove all the water and keep is aside.
  3. Put it in a bowl and mix all the remaining ingredients.
  4. Now shape it in whichever shape you like, I used the round shape.
  5. Heat oil in a fry pan. Put the kebabs in it. Shallow fry it on both the sides until it turns golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with jain schezwan sauce and ketchup.
  7. See under notes for links to recipes of Schezwan Sauce and Red Kashmiri Chilli Paste
